US Box

Rigid box, fin locks in with a screw. The industry standard, used on most mid-to-high-end boards.

Are SUP fins universal?
No. Fin boxes vary by brand and even by model line — a fin that fits one board often won't fit another, even from the same manufacturer.
How do I identify my fin box?
Remove your fin and look at the mounting slot: a rigid plastic box with a screw is US Box, a tool-free plug or lever is Quick-Lock, a fabric track is Slide-in, and a snap-on tab is Click Tab.
Why doesn't my new fin fit?
Usually a system mismatch (a US Box fin into a proprietary quick-lock box) or a length mismatch — some boards use shorter US Box slots than standard.
Can I use a US Box fin on a Quick-Lock or Slide-In board?
No, the systems aren't interchangeable. You need a fin made for your board's specific box.
Why doesn't my new SUP fin fit?
Usually because the fin box system doesn't match — a US Box fin won't fit a Quick-Lock or Slide-In board, even if the fin looks similar. Troubleshoot fin compatibility
What size SUP fin do I need?
Fin size depends on board length, paddling style and conditions. Touring boards generally use a larger fin than surf-style boards.
US Box vs Slide-In: what's the difference?
US Box uses a rigid moulded box and a screw-in plate; Slide-In uses a fabric track that holds the fin by tension.
How do I replace a SUP fin?
Most US Box and Quick-Lock fins can be swapped in seconds without tools beyond a coin or fin key.
