Eike grew up in East Frisia before relocating to Borkum — a small island in the German North Sea — in 2016. Shortly after moving, he discovered his passion for kitesurfing and has remained dedicated to the sport ever since. During a vacation in Portugal, he began surfing and found it perfectly complements his kitesurfing during the calmer, low-wind days.

Eike works as a kitesurfing instructor during the summer months on Borkum, sharing his passion with others while living the island lifestyle he dreamed of. When winter arrives, he dedicates his time to improving his surfing skills and travels the world in search of new waves and surf destinations. It's the perfect balance — teaching in summer, chasing swells in winter.
